It is with deep regret and sadness that we formally announce that The Training Room will be closing permanently on October 15th, 2024. The ownership team wishes to express the amazing experience and journey this has been for us. We are deeply grateful to all our members and staff who have been part of this ride with us. As far as we are concerned, the best part about owning The Training Room for the last several years has been the people.

Although there were multiple factors that led to us needing to close the gym, we want to clarify the primary reason for this decision. We recognize there have already been rumors spreading prior to this announcement, so we’d like to state a key factor. In order to continue operating we had to find another space to move the gym to, which we identified more than a year ago. This new location was being built from the ground up. While we waited for the construction of the new space, we had signed multiple extensions on our current lease because the new space was not ready. There have been numerous complications and delays with the new space to the point it has become impossible to make the transition before our lease on our current space expired. In addition, the lease extensions were based on The Training Room moving to a new property, which was also owned by our current landlord. Due to the fact, we will not be able to move into that new property, we are also not able to continue our lease at this current location. Furthermore, the schools occupying much of the building we are currently in, have been on hold waiting to take over our space for several years and the landlord is prepared to make that transition right away.

This is obviously disappointing for us as owners and we expect that this news will also be a disappointment to our members and our staff. In order to minimize the impact of this closure we are providing a thirty day notice to everyone. Member Services will look at every account and prorate your final bill amount to match the closing date. If you are working with a Personal Trainer, they are preparing options for you after The Training Room closes, and for any other questions or concerns, please contact Member services at the front desk.
